Hi all you wonderful pledgers,

At the beginning of this campaign we said that we planned to start shipping at the beginning of November.  Well we are happy,  and somewhat exhausted, to announce that we have actually sent the last of the pledges out today on the 1stNovember 2023 so we beat our target considerably.

Also sent today are the buildings and gliders from Sarissa Precision Ltd. Tracking references to be sent out today.

Also sent out today were the few issues that we have had reported.

This has been a fantastically successful Kick starter and all of you pledgers have played a huge part in making it such a success. So thank you all.

Work has already begun on the second part of the Arnhem Heroes KS. We have three different jeeps currently complete, Recce, ambulance, and radio. The 17pdr is complete as well as drop canisters and baskets.

Paul has started sculpting figures and detailed announcements on this will be made via updates on here and via our Empress Miniatures Facebook page. Date we are aiming for is Februaryish so stay tuned.

But for today we are celebrating, well getting on with a lot of other work actually, at the completion of the Kickstarter.

Hi Pledgers,

We hope you are all well?

Christine and I are working through the pledges, picking, packing and despatching. As I write this, we have sent out well over half and are working through the others to try and complete by early November. As I am sure you can understand it’s a LOT of work and we also have to look after Empress Miniatures and other things, such as cuddle our new granddaughter.

When the pledges are despatched, you will receive up to two notifications with the tracking details. Please use the details to track your parcel. If it gets sent back to us because the local post office has a problem we may charge for its return.  Please do not keep asking us if your pledge has been despatched yet. As stated, you will be notified when its sent and answering such messages takes time that is best spent on getting the pledges sent out.

When you open the box, you should find a card from Empress Miniatures. If there is an issue then use it to contact us via email with the issue.

Please do not send messages via Kickstarter, Backerkit or Facebook as they may get lost. Straight to our Empress Miniatures email address gets picked up and dealt with.

Hopefully you understand our reasons for the above and can work with them. It will make things move faster and allow us to deal with issues efficiently.

Lastly we had originally planned to get the second Arnhem Heroes Kickstarter out this month but its obviously not going to happen. We suspect many of you will be happy with the delay as you will have enough to do with this KS. It has now been rescheduled for January / February of 2024 so not long to wait. We have already created a number of the items needed but do not want to rush things.

Partizan Wargames Show pledge collection option.

Hi All,

We are getting through sending out the pledges with about 150 sent. 

If any pledgers want to collect their Arnhem Heroes pledges at the Other Partizan Show in Newark on the 8th October then please drop us an e mail on [email protected]

DO NOT just turn up on the day and ask because we obviously will not have them. Give us some time to sort what you want out ; )

Hi all you pledgers.

We are very happy to announce that we are starting to send out your pledges. Originally, we promised to hit October but we have managed to hit the end of August. That’s the good news.

However, a bit of annoying news. Unfortunately getting the orders sent out will be a lot slower than we had hoped due to a system mismatch between the Kickstarter, Backerkit and the Royal Mail postal system.  (mumble, mumble.)

Normal orders via our Empress Miniatures shop site are automatically transferred to the Royal mail system making it pretty easy to dispatch orders. This does not work with Kickstarter and Backerkit and so all orders have to be manually entered onto Royal Mail. That’s quite a long and exhausting job, although we are hoping that as we go along it will be able to retain a memory, especially with UK addresses and so speed up slightly.

Therefore, from the start to the finish it will take a lot longer than we expected but will (should!!!!) be achieved before the original October despatch date so not really an issue although we wanted you lovely people to understand that it will take a bit of time from beginning to end of this process.

A big part of the processing delay is created due to us sending the pledges out trackable. When we despatch, you will receive an email from Royal Mail and also one from Backerkit containing your tracking reference number. PLEASE track your parcel from us to you. If your parcel gets to your local mail service and they fail to deliver and then return it we will request a further postage charge to send it again. This is very rare however some of the worlds postal services are a bit…………….!

We have sent the first orders out to the furthest addresses from us as they will take the longest time to arrive.

Well, that’s todays update. We will send other updates to let you know how we are getting on but for now back to packing parachutes.

Good afternoon backers!

Just a very quick update. Only 9 days left to fill out your pledge on backerkit. We will be charging Debt and Credit Cards as soon as the Backerkit closes.

If you dont fill out your pledge by the 31st July we cannot gurantee  that your pledge will be delivered at the same time as the other pledges.

in other news Empress miniatures have taken yet more stock of Arnhem figures. We are still well on target to delivery on time!
